Management trainee program and later on technical lead of the combustion concept team at Robert Bosch GmbH

Chief engineer for gasoline engines at Ricardo Germany.

Joint GE Jenbacher in 2009 as head of thermodynamics, moved on to Director, Global Performance & Emission Solutions for GE Distributed Power.

Appointed Professor for Power Train Technology at the University of the Bundeswehr Munich in 2018 and founded the Research Center for Mobility and Renewable Energy and the Palladion Defence Accelerator at the University of the Bundeswehr Munich.

Appointed Professor of Sustainable Propulsion Systems and Applied Thermodynamics at the TU Graz in July 2025
