Short Biography

Christian Schultze is born 1961 in Kassel and studied Air-and Spacecraft Design in University Stuttgart and in Atlanta. After graduation he entered the newly opened European R&D Center of Mazda Motor Corporation in Frankfurt/Germany as Research Engineer.

During his career he was early interested in alternative powertrains and developed with AKASOL @ University of Darmstadt a first city EV concept vehicle in 1994, he accompanied FCEV development projects and also the HYNOR large scale H2 vehicle demonstration in Norway.

Mr. Schultze took over responsibility not only for technical teams in Mazda, but also for regulatory research in Brussels, homologation and also the general operation of the R&D centre.
