Short Biography

After studying mechanical engineering, doctorate at TU Munich and completing the postdoctoral studies at Leibniz University Hannover (1998). Joined the BMW Group's pre-development of gasoline engines in 1997. Head of Advanced Development Department of gasoline engines since 2001, and from 2004 as Head of Series Development of gasoline engines responsible for combustion process development, gas exchange and later (2010) construction and component strength for turbocharging and exhaust systems. From 2013, overall powertrain responsibility in the mid-range product line. 2016 advance development of gasoline engines. Since 2020 responsible for the development of the fuel cell system.
